Will it fit in my curriculum?
Bring History to School can be adapted to your curriculum, age group and presentation styles. We encourage teachers to contact us to discuss how to adapt our program to the needs of their students. We have adapted programs for second graders in Arkansas to a one-room 1st-8th grade class in California. |

Who is the program for?
Bring History to School is geared toward students in 4th or 5th grade studying their own state history and/or westward expansion. Although it began with Going for Gold-America's Gold Rush Wagon Train in 1999, we have since brought the program to schools all over the country to help students learn more about westward expansion and their own state history. |

Bring History to SchoolThe focus of Bring History to School is students. Through hands-on learning, history becomes real to students. From Native Americans who survived encroachment on their traditional lands, to goldminers seeking fortunes, it is on the strength of individuals American history was created. Our children are the descendants of that history and they have the power to become the new individuals in the continuing American story. |
